In a panic, Indra hurled his mighty thunderbolt, the Vajra, straight at the little flier.

The bolt struck Hanuman's jaw and sent him tumbling back down to Earth.
Vayu's Anger — the Wind Stops Blowing
When Lord Vayu, the Wind God and Hanuman's own divine father, saw his son hurt, he stopped the winds in protest.
- No breeze meant no breath for any living being.
- The whole world gasped for air — even the gods began to struggle.
